PARTICIPATION POINTS

One point will be awarded for each lap completed in each Qualifying heat, Sprint race, and Final race, up to a maximum of 8 points, per on-track session.

This means that a driver can win 24 ‘participation points’ per weekend.  But you have to complete at least eight laps of each of the three ‘officially timed’ sessions.  Many of the sessions will be more than eight laps, but we will use the eight lap maximum to equalize all sessions, at all tracks.

In the unlikely event that a driver completes less than eight laps, they would still receive a point for each lap completed.
